Abstract

In order to determine objective the risk factors that influence dysphonias teachers attending the service Vocal Rehabilitation Institute of Prevention and Social Assistance Personnel of the Ministry of Popular Power for Education (IPASME) in Barquisimeto - Estado Lara. a descriptive research with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design was performed. Data were collected directly in the Rehabilitation Service of the Voice of IPASME - Barquisimeto, of a teachers population of a random was selected sample of 30 teachers taking into account their active teaching status at the time of research. As the instrument for data collection one supported by a medical history questionnaire was applied - Occupational that allowed us to evaluate and analyze the factors influencing dysphonias of teachers, was applied to each selected patient and the perception of teachers was considered. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Females (77%) was the most affected, the highest incidence of the disease for both women and men predominated in the fourth decade predominated caffeine consumption 97% and gastroesophageal reflux 53% on personal factors, while factors work organization were the most significant. Dysphonic the teachers studied present an occupational health problem, from which it follows that the alteration. of the voice tends to affect more the adult population, most frequency affectation the quart decade.
